We’re “Jammin”

Welcome to the summer 2018 issue of Broadband Library. You’ll find it’s jam-packed with great insights and information from many new authors and contributors. Our resident authors are joined in this issue by a great number of industry leaders who share information of interest and value to you, our readers.

Definition: jam-pack

  1. to fill or pack as tightly or fully as possible:

We jam-packed the basket with all kinds of fruit.

It certainly is true. The 68 pages that follow are truly jam-packed! We filled the pages with insightful information, useful charts and graphs, nerdy terms, and fun facts.

Jam-packed takes on a personal note too, as my 90-year-old Norwegian mother Helen, just finished making another batch of her much-loved, and very tasty, strawberry jam. Mom has been making jam every year for as long as I can remember. Everyone in the family loves it and feels very special if they are lucky enough to receive a jar or two of Helen’s strawberry jam. Kind of like being on Santa’s good list. 🙂 Of course, she gives the credit for her jam-making skills to her favorite sister-in-law, Frances Olson, who made a lot of strawberry jam in her years as well. Anyway, my mom likes to share the credit for her success and so do I.

The additional contributing authors in this issue have been made possible by an expanded relationship with SCTE•ISBE. Content continues to be key — whether on screen or in print. And our goal continues to focus on telling the story of broadband by providing original content by, for, and of the people of broadband. I sincerely hope you enjoy reading this issue!
