Shaping the Future of Connectivity

We are just a few weeks away from gathering as an industry in Atlanta for SCTE TechExpo24 where we will shape the future of connectivity.

For over 40 years, SCTE has been bringing the broadband community together to share, inspire and innovate. The largest broadband event in the Americas, TechExpo is the platform that facilitates collaboration to fuel the future and impact what’s next.

The stage is set for TechExpo to deliver an unparalleled opportunity to engage with other executives and decision-makers, and to explore the emerging technologies and applications that will transform our industry. Personally, I cannot wait to share some inspirational updates and my roadmap for SCTE with you. I also look forward to celebrating the achievements of several outstanding individuals and announcing the SCTE Member of the Year.

Attendees can expect to hear the bold vision to shape the world of broadband connectivity and the workforce powering it. Opening day headliners will include CableLabs President and CEO Phil McKinney and the co-chairs of this year’s TechExpo, Cox Communications President Mark Greatrex and President and CEO of Liberty Latin America Balan Nair.

Appearing together to discuss workforce development will be Cable One Chair of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer Julia Laulis as well as Cable One’s recently appointed Chief Operating Officer Ken Johnson, who previously served as the company’s Chief Technology & Innovation Officer. Rounding out day one will be Deloitte Global Future of Work Leader Nicole Scoble-Williams, who will share her passion for making work better for humans and making humans better at work, by using technology to enable and elevate human experiences, performance, and outcomes.

Attendees can also look forward to a town hall with some of our industry’s most innovative Chief Technology Officers and a power-packed Chief Strategy Officer panel on day two. And it should come as no surprise that artificial intelligence is prolific on the agenda, so a dedicated “AI Zone” will make its debut this year, with related content appearing on two stages on the show floor: the Tech Talk Stage and The Loft.

TechExpo will offer a personalized experience for unrivalled learning, networking and discovery. The brightest minds in the industry will provide groundbreaking insights on use cases and cutting-edge innovations. Peer-reviewed content is organized into nine tracks with the complete agenda available online:

  • Wireline Network Evolution
  • Wireless & Convergence
  • AI & Automation
  • Operations, Construction & Network Planning
  • Network-as-a-Service (NaaS)
  • Security & Privacy
  • Growth & Transformation
  • Technology Policy (co-hosted by NCTA)
  • The Human Factor

In the face of emerging technologies and ever-increasing customer demands, cultivating a future-ready workforce has become a strategic imperative. New this year, The Human Factor track will explore how people, processes and culture come together to fuel innovation and help businesses thrive.

A brand new TV studio is making its debut on the exhibit floor, including a press lounge and two briefing rooms. Also new this year will be an all-new layout of the show floor, promising maximum interactivity and visibility, and Expo Happy Hours in the exhibit hall on Tuesday and Wednesday starting at 5:00 p.m., when attendees can mix and mingle with connections new and old.

The new and improved TechExpo24 event app will be made available to attendees approximately two weeks prior to the event. Details on how to download will be emailed directly to all registered attendees.

Known globally as the preeminent venue for thought leadership, engineering innovation, and pioneering business insights, TechExpo is setting the stage for three days of content, collaboration, and conversation to shape the future of broadband technology.

It’s not too late; there is still time to register to attend. I look forward to joining you at the Georgia World Congress Center, September 24-26, to spark new connections, catalyze innovation, and collaborate to create meaningful progress.
