Stronger Together
Empowering Independent Operators to Serve Their Communities
At NCTC, our purpose is simple and powerful: to help independent operators deliver exceptional service to the communities they call home. That mission has guided us from day one, and today, it’s more vital than ever.
Our nearly 700 members, ranging from rural cooperatives and municipalities to family-owned providers and regional innovators, are the backbone of connectivity in America. Our members serve the towns that many others overlook, connecting families, schools, farms, and small businesses in communities where broadband is not a luxury, it’s a lifeline!
And while the challenges are real—rising costs, rapidly changing technology, and growing consumer expectations—our role at NCTC is to make sure our members never face those challenges alone.
Helping members serve better, not just compete harder
We measure success by the impact we create: Are we helping our members deliver more reliable broadband? More affordable mobile service? Smarter Wi-Fi solutions? Are we enabling them to embrace innovation while staying true to the needs of the communities they serve? That’s what we mean when we say, “Stronger Together.” We provide collective scale and national-level partnerships, all while keeping our members’ focus where it matters most—serving their communities.
Mobile made easy for members
Our NCTC Mobile Solution exemplifies our commitment to practical, scalable solutions. Through an exclusive MVNO agreement with AT&T, members can now offer a branded mobile service to their customers. This initiative boosts revenue, strengthens customer loyalty, and simplifies service by bundling broadband, video, and mobile under one trusted brand.
We’ve built a robust backend to support members including activation, billing, analytics, device options, protection plans, financing, and customized websites and apps. It’s designed for easy launch and scalability, regardless of organization size.
Building on the momentum from TIS
At The Independent Show (TIS 2025) in Salt Lake City, our local-first mindset was on full display. Members engaged in sessions on mobile strategies, video solutions including Broadband TV, AI-powered customer service tools, and new legal frameworks for digital transformation.
But more than that, they reconnected with each other, sharing stories, solving problems, and walking away with practical strategies they could take home and implement immediately.
It was a reminder that while technology keeps changing, our members’ mission doesn’t. They’re there to serve in a highly competitive industry, and we’re here to support them.
Looking ahead to WEC 2026
Our next flagship event, the Winter Educational Conference (WEC 2026) from February 16 to 18, 2026 in Las Vegas, NV will build on the momentum we’ve created. With a focus on operational excellence, innovation, and financial strategy, WEC is where meaningful progress takes shape. Members gain hands-on support for next-generation technologies like managed Wi-Fi and AI-driven retention strategies and explore mobile best practices to accelerate subscriber growth. Most importantly, WEC is a space for listening, where member feedback drives continuous improvement and strategic alignment.
Real tools for real impact
We know many of our members run lean teams and wear multiple hats. That’s why we prioritize solutions that are easy to implement and backed by hands-on support. We make sure every solution is vetted, supported, and built to scale so you can serve your customers with confidence, no matter your size.
Everything we do, from group purchasing to national content deals, from hardware discounts to video content solutions, mobile and the AI Center of Excellence pilot program, is designed to reduce friction, lower costs, and help members deliver best-in-class service to their communities.
Our commitment
At NCTC, we believe in the power of independent operators to transform lives, because we see it every day. You’re connecting the unconnected. You’re creating opportunity where it didn’t exist before. And you’re doing it with integrity, commitment, and heart. We’re proud to stand beside you, not just as a cooperative, but as a true partner in service.
